Bon Secours Health System has a rich history in Limerick, beginning with the acquisition of Barringtons Hospital on George’s Quay in 2017. While the site has served the community well, its limitations led to our vision for a new, state-of-the-art facility to better serve the growing healthcare needs of the region.

In 2021, we took the next step towards this vision by breaking ground on the new Bon Secours Hospital Limerick in Towlerton, Ballysimon, with an investment of €190 million. This new hospital is now open and provides advanced medical and surgical care in a modern, sustainable setting.

As part of Ireland’s largest private hospital group, Bon Secours Health System operates across the country, with over 4,000 staff members and a commitment to delivering compassionate, world-class healthcare. This new hospital in Limerick forms a key part of our ongoing investment in healthcare infrastructure, supporting our mission to provide advanced medicine and exceptional care to our patients. The hospital offers a wide range of specialist services, from cardiology to ophthalmology, and will play a pivotal role in enhancing healthcare provision in the Mid-West.

Staff Nurse – All Specialties

Panel for Future Permanent/Fixed Term Part-Time/Full-Time Positions

We are inviting applications from enthusiastic, compassionate, and highly motivated Staff Nurses to join a panel for future permanent, specified-purpose, and fixed-term vacancies across all clinical specialties within the hospital.

This panel will be used to fill vacancies as they arise in a variety of specialist areas, providing successful candidates with the opportunity to work in a dynamic, patient-centred environment committed to excellence in care.

Job Purpose

The Registered General Nurse will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. The Registered General Nurse will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional care in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while adhering to best practice guidelines and hospital protocols.

Ideal Candidate:

Registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland
Minimum of 2 years post registration experience essential in an acute setting
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Appropriate clinical skills with evidence of continuing professional development
Flexible approach to work patterns.
