As a Market Sales Executive based in Omaha, NE, you will conduct sales activities related to selling our portfolio of 150 hotels in 30 states, including guest rooms and meeting facilities. This is a rare opportunity to combine a national sales role with total account management, giving you direct influence over hotel performance and the ability to work closely with Operations, Marketing, and fellow Sales professionals.
You will play a key role in driving sales for the soon-to-open Drury Plaza Hotel Omaha Downtown and the Drury Plaza Hotel Lincoln, building relationships throughout the market and helping grow revenue for these two Nebraska locations.
This position is based out of the soon-to-open Drury Plaza Hotel Omaha Downtown. After 90 days and successful performance, team members may be eligible to work remotely one day per week, offering some flexibility while maintaining a strong presence in the Omaha market.
Approximately 70% of your time will be dedicated to client-facing sales activities. There may be occasions when you need to travel outside of your home city, which should not exceed 10% of your overall working time.
WHAT WILL YOU DO
Responsible for revenue growth from assigned accounts, including corporate/non-corporate opportunities, and developing new business
Manage local B2B partnerships and sponsorships with guidance from Manager, Revenue Strategy & Market Sales, and collaboration with Regional Managers
Maintain expert knowledge of market area demand generators and accounts, ensuring comprehensive account management
Leverage customer interactions to explore opportunities across all 150 hotels within the company
Market Area – Omaha & Lincoln NE
WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU
- Demonstrates knowledge of sales techniques and exhibits the ability to advance customers through the sales cycle
- Possesses excellent business communication skills, both written and verbal, that are grammatically accurate
- Presents confidently to audiences of various sizes, with quality and relevant messaging
- Communicates with Internal stakeholders (Revenue Optimization, Operations Leaders, etc.) in a way that builds trust and revenue through collaboration
- Exhibits effective time management through structure, self-discipline, and smart calendar planning
- Confident in utilizing multiple technologies, including CRM, Microsoft365, and industry research platforms
Education
- Requires a high level of knowledge, skill, and intellectual development equivalent to the completion of a four-year college degree
- A college degree related to sales and marketing is highly recommended and valued
Experience
- Requires a minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in outside sales and account management, specifically with regional or national business-to-business accounts
- Previous experience in hospitality or a related field is preferred, showcasing familiarity with the industry
