Join our Manufacturing Technology team as Head of Industrial Automation and Control Systems (x|f|m) and shape the global automation strategy and its implementation. Improve the performance of our production lines and drive end-to-end automation excellence, with a focus on quality, cost and delivery reliability. The position is based in Goettingen with the possibility to work some days in a week remotely.

Grow With Us – Your Responsibilities

• Lead a global team of around 30 automation and control systems experts and develop the team’s capabilities
• Define and implement global automation strategies, control system architectures (PLC, SCADA, etc.) and standards for automation and control systems
• Coordinate global automation projects, develop planning processes and set priorities to ensure delivery in terms of quality, budget, schedule and performance
• Ensure reliable, safe and state-of-the-art automation solutions and foster collaboration across Engineering, Production, IT and other functions
• Take responsibility for AMR technology, including end-to-end logistics, connectivity, VDA standards and global rollout
• Drive innovative automation technologies and Industry 4.0 initiatives, continuously improve existing platforms and develop digital use cases for production to further increase efficiency and operational excellence

What Will Convince Us

• University degree in a relevant engineering discipline
• Several years of leadership experience in an engineering function focused on automation technology, with a proven track record in strategic leadership and in developing and implementing effective strategies, standards, processes and systems
• In-depth knowledge of industrial automation and its application in a global environment
• Proven experience in project management, continuous improvement and driving operational excellence
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to develop a high-performing and skilled team
• Fluent English; additional language skills are an advantage
