Salary: $130,000–$190,000 (based on experience)
Travel: Approximately 30–50% (Domestic & International)
Our client, a leading provider of power generation solutions, is seeking a Proposal Engineer to join its growing business development team. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer who enjoys the intersection of technical problem-solving, estimating, and customer engagement.
In this role, you'll work alongside engineering, project management, operations, and sales teams to develop competitive technical proposals for complex power generation projects. From reviewing customer specifications to developing cost estimates and technical strategies, you'll play a critical role in securing projects that help power industries around the world.
What You'll Do
- Lead the technical development of proposals from initial review through final submission.
- Analyze customer specifications and define project scope to ensure complete and accurate proposals.
- Develop technical documentation, data sheets, and supporting engineering information.
- Participate in site visits, pre-bid meetings, and project walk-downs to gather key technical requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain technical information and pricing.
- Develop and maintain project cost estimates and proposal budgets.
- Present technical recommendations and proposal strategies during internal bid review meetings.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, competitive proposals on schedule.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Experience within power generation, industrial equipment, EPC, or heavy industrial construction environments is preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and technical communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate across multiple departments and external partners.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 30–50%).
