Responsibilities and Duties:
In this highly challenging role, you will:
- Design and implement software features and unit tests related to Wi-Fi based on PRPL.
- Develop and integrate mesh networking features on prplMesh/Easymesh (prplOS) and RDK-B/OpenWRT-based platforms.
- Develop proof of concepts for new technologies.
- Research new Wi-Fi technologies.
- Debug and resolve field issues (client connectivity, roaming, stability, and interoperability) in collaboration with silicon vendors.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or equivalent.
- Over 5 years of experience in embedded system software development.
- Strong programming skills in C/C++.
- Strong understanding of Wi-Fi technologies including 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be etc.
- Extensive experience with WPA supplicant, Hostapd, and Radius protocol.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with a focus on innovation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently.
- Self-starter who strives for results and continual improvement.
- Must work well independently and as part of a team.
Nice to Have:
- In-depth understanding of the 802.11 protocol suite and WLAN technology.
- Experience on Qualcomm, Broadcom, Maxlinear platform etc.
- Experience on Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 7 (including MLO / 802.11be features)
- Hands-on experience with prplMesh/Easymesh, IEEE 1905.1, and 802.11s mesh networking, including Easymesh R5/R6 certification
- Experience with RDK-B, prplOS, and/or OpenWRT gateway software stacks
- Familiarity with Yocto build systems and embedded Linux kernel/driver development.

- India – (Flexible hybrid work model - work from Bangalore office for 20 days in a quarter).
