About the Job:
GreenSheen Paint is hiring a dependable, safety-first CDL Class A Driver based out of our Rotterdam, NY facility.
In this role, you’ll drive routes across New York and the Northeast to pick up collected paint from municipal transfer stations, retail partners, and community collection events, bringing it back to our facility for processing.
This is a hands-on, local/regional driving role where you are home daily, almost every single night. If you take pride in safe driving, good customer service, and steady full-time work with excellent benefits, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do:
- Drive & Transport: Safely operate 26-foot box trucks (and tractor-trailers/trailers as needed) on scheduled pickup routes mainly within New York State and the surrounding Northeast region.
- On-Site Loading & Customer Pickups: Inspect, sort, pack, and load palletized paint containers from customer sites and community drop-off events.
- Customer Service & Restocking: Leave collection sites clean and organized, replenish empty supplies/gaylords for partners, and serve as a professional face of GreenSheen.
- Unloading & Paperwork: Return to the Rotterdam facility daily to offload trucks using pallet jacks and forklifts. Weigh inbound freight and manage non-hazardous shipping manifests, Bills of Lading (BOL), and logs.
- Warehouse & Cross-Functional Support: On lighter route days, jump in on the warehouse floor to help with general material handling, forklift operation, and event staging.
Shift & Route Details:
- Home Time: Home daily on standard routes (overnight hotel stays are very rare).
- Schedule: Standard Monday through Friday day shift, with occasional Saturday shifts required during busy Spring and Fall collection seasons.
What We’re Looking For?
- License & Credentials: Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record and current DOT medical card (or ability to pass a DOT physical).
- Equipment Experience: Proven experience safely maneuvering box trucks and commercial vehicles. Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred (we can recertify on-site).
- Physical Capability: This is an active, physical job. Must be able to repeatedly lift 50+ lbs, hand-pack cans into gaylords, and maneuver heavy pallets (800+ lbs) using manual and electric pallet jacks.
- Reliability & Communication: On-time attendance, solid customer-facing attitude, and strict adherence to DOT safety regulations and pre/post-trip vehicle inspections.
