Looking for your next Commissioning Officer – Adult Social Care opportunity where you can make a genuine impact from day one? This is an exciting chance to join a highly collaborative team, reporting directly to a Senior Commissioning Manager and playing a key role in shaping and improving specialist services for adults with complex needs.
As a Commissioning Officer – Adult Social Care, you will take ownership of key contracts, contribute to high-profile transformation programmes, and help influence how services are designed, commissioned and delivered. This role offers the autonomy to build strong partnerships, drive service improvement, and support better outcomes for residents through effective commissioning practice.
Your Role as Commissioning Officer – Adult Social Care:
• Lead on service commissioning and support procurement activity across specialist adult services
• Use data analysis, insight and Equality Impact Needs Assessments to inform service design
• Drive stakeholder engagement, consultation and co-production with providers, carers and service users
• Manage contract performance, quality monitoring and service improvement activity
• Support transformation projects using effective project management methodologies

Your Previous Experience as a Commissioning Officer – Adult Social Care:
• Proven experience within Adult Social Care commissioning or Public Health commissioning in a local authority setting
• Strong knowledge of Mental Health services would be highly advantageous
• Experience building effective partnerships across Local Authorities, NHS organisations and voluntary sector providers
• Ability to create and present high-quality reports, business cases and presentations
• Strong analytical, organisational and IT skills with a proactive approach to delivery
