- Run manual functional and regression testing on ATMs, including transaction flows (card, PIN, cash dispense), error conditions like cash jams, and checks that the correct data reaches backend systems
- Run volume, performance and reliability testing as needed
- Report testing status, risks and progress to project stakeholders on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
- Communicate directly with customers during on-site engagements, often for about a week at a time
- Set up and maintain test environments and physical and virtual labs, including hardware, Windows networking and software installs
- Find, document and track defects, and help developers isolate root causes through debugging and troubleshooting
- Take part in Agile ceremonies and own your sprint deliverables
- Help define automation strategy as the team moves from manual to automated testing
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent work experience
- 4+ years of experience in software or hardware testing or quality engineering
- Strong understanding of the software development life cycle and the software testing life cycle
- Experience creating test plans and writing functional, integration and end-to-end test cases
- Experience reporting test status to stakeholders and communicating with customers
- Hands-on experience testing hardware, software or both
- Experience with hardware setup, software installation and basic network configuration
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Able to manage several projects at once with little supervision
- Able to travel up to 50% within the U.S. and work from customer locations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ATMs, self-service devices or financial transaction systems (for example NCR, Diebold Nixdorf or Hyosung)
- Experience with backend, database or API testing (REST/SOAP)
- Exposure to test automation tools, such as Selenium, Jenkins or Postman
- Experience with CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins, Git or GitHub
