Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer, you will monitor and patrol government and commercial real estate locations, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will support access control and badge processes, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, transit patrons, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property, transit-adjacent areas, building interiors, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and contractor activity, and maintain required logs, reports, and incident documentation.
• Assist with directing visitors and providing information while maintaining a professional presence at government and commercial real estate locations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
