The Process & Engineering Improvement Section Manager is responsible for leading a team of engineers to drive manufacturing excellence through continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, cost optimization, equipment performance, quality enhancement, and Max Outs (MXT) performance within FAB 16. This leader will collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and support organizations to identify opportunities, develop strategic improvement plans, and execute solutions that deliver sustainable business results.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team to achieve FAB business objectives in Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and MXT performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across processes, equipment, and operational systems to enhance manufacturing efficiency and productivity.
- Define, prioritize, and execute strategic projects aligned with site and corporate goals.
- Partner closely with Process, Equipment, Manufacturing, Quality, Industrial Engineering, and Central Teams to identify performance gaps and implement sustainable solutions.
- Utilize data-driven methodologies to improve equipment performance, reduce operational losses, and optimize manufacturing output.
- Benchmark internal and external best practices to identify improvement opportunities and accelerate organizational learning.
- Lead implementation of Maintenance Optimization Plans, Business Process Improvements, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Best Known Methods (BKMs), and reliability enhancement programs.
- Ensure compliance with Micron Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability (EHSS) policies and foster a strong safety culture across the organization.
- Develop organizational capability through effective training plans, technical coaching, and knowledge-sharing programs.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and influence cross-functional teams to achieve shared objectives.
- Monitor project execution, communicate progress to leadership, and ensure timely delivery of committed results.

Preferred Qualifications
- Strong leadership experience in semiconductor manufacturing, process engineering, equipment engineering, or industrial engineering environments.
- Proven track record of driving productivity, cost reduction, quality improvement, and operational excellence initiatives.
- Excellent analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing organizational change.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence methodologies is highly preferred.

Using Artificial Intelligence(AI)
- Drive adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and advanced analytics solutions to improve manufacturing productivity, equipment performance, defect reduction, and operational decision-making.
- Identify and lead digital transformation initiatives by leveraging AI-powered tools, automation platforms, predictive analytics, and intelligent reporting systems to accelerate business outcomes.
- Partner with Data Science, Smart Manufacturing, Automation, and IT teams to develop and deploy scalable AI solutions that enhance factory performance and operational efficiency.
- Foster an AI-driven culture by promoting data literacy, encouraging innovation, and developing team capabilities in digital technologies and advanced analytics.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve manufacturing competitiveness and operational excellence.
