The Deputy Director drives operational excellence, strategic execution, and service innovation across NTU’s hospitality assets. This pivotal leadership role translates high-level campus vibrancy and sustainability strategies into robust operational plans, directly manages outsourced vendor performance, and fosters a vibrant, inclusive campus community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Strategy & Execution: Translate the office's long-term vision into actionable business plans and operational roadmaps for commercial leasing, hospitality, and transportation, aligning with NTU's overarching goals.
  • Campus Experience & Placemaking: Lead initiatives to enhance student, employee, and visitor experiences; implement best market practices to foster a vibrant, inclusive, and welcoming campus culture.
  • Commercial & Lease Management: Optimize revenue and lease yields across commercial spaces (F&B, retail, lifestyle amenities) and develop robust metrics to measure commercial investments and performance.
  • Auxiliary Services Oversight: Manage contract performance and service delivery of outsourced vendors for campus-wide carparks and shuttle bus services, driving smart, sustainable, and green transport solutions.
  • Hospitality Asset Optimization: Direct the operations, maintenance, refurbishment, and financial sustainability of key hospitality assets (e.g., Nanyang Executive Centre, Campus Clubhouse) to ensure premier, self-financing dining and accommodation experiences.
  • Risk Management & Governance: Proactively assess, monitor, and mitigate operational, financial, and safety risks across all commercial, auxiliary, and hospitality portfolios.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Real Estate, or a related discipline.
  • 12–15 years of progressive management experience in hospitality, property management, commercial operations, or campus services, with at least 5 years in a significant leadership role.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale, KPI-driven outsourced vendor contracts and executing service excellence standards.
  • Strong expertise in budget management, revenue optimization, contract negotiation, and business planning within a diverse service portfolio.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated success in building collaborative partnerships with students, university administration, commercial operators, and external agencies.
