Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
1.Deal Leadership & Execution
- Lead the end-to-end development and closure of complex commercial agreements for electricity import and transmission
- Manage and coordinate multi-disciplinary deal teams (legal, technical, financial, regulatory)
- Negotiate terms with utilities, governments, private off-takers, and international partners
2. Strategic Commercial Planning
- Develop commercial models, strategies, and value propositions for new projects and opportunities
- Support the broader corporate strategy and business development pipeline
3. Stakeholder Management
- Engage with high-level stakeholders, including regulators, transmission system operators (TSOs), and policy-makers
- Represent the company in commercial discussions, public consultations, and industry forums
4. Risk & Governance
- Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks associated with projects and partnerships
- Ensure all deals are compliant with internal governance standards and external regulatory requirements
The successful candidate should possess the following:
- Around 8 to 10 years of work experience with an in-depth focus on (i) financial modelling & analysis (II) industry background research (iii) writing of investment memos / presentations
- Working in banking / M&A / project finance / leveraged finance at a major commercial bank / lending institution will be preferred
- Sector experience in energy infrastructure and renewable energy will be valued
- Highly motivated self-starters with a strong work ethic
- Potential for rapid career advancement and personal growth in a new critical industry focused on delivering sustainable renewable energy for Singapore
