Join our Analytical team as a QC Technician and play a key role in supporting laboratory operations that help ensure the quality and safety of products that contribute to better health for more people. If you have an interest in science and are looking to gain laboratory experience, this is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills while supporting daily GMP activities within our microbiology and analytical laboratories. Based in central Nottingham, a short walk from the train station and tram stop, you will become part of a team of eight dedicated professionals who look forward to shaping the future together with you.

Grow with us – Your Responsibilities

• Perform routine microbiological and analytical sample analysis, including utilities, water testing, raw materials, production samples and environmental testing
• Support laboratory operations through routine housekeeping activities, equipment calibrations, media and reagent preparation, stock control and ordering of consumables
• Conduct plate reading, staining and biochemical testing for microbial identification
• Review worksheets and use electronic databases to enter results and support data trending activities
• Contribute to investigation activities where basic microbiological and analytical techniques are required
• Follow GMP procedures, laboratory standards and quality requirements while supporting day-to-day laboratory activities

 

What will convince us

• A-levels, HNC/HND, Foundation Degree, apprenticeship, or Bachelor's degree (BSc) in a scientific discipline

• Knowledge of general laboratory techniques

• Previous experience in laboratory is not essential; experience working in a fast – paced environment would be advantageous

• Strong motivation to learn and develop new skills

• Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing priorities

• High attention to detail and a structured approach to work

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to follow procedures and quality standards accurately

• Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities effectively

• Collaborative team player with a positive attitude
