Role Overview

As a Network Architect, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, reliable, and scalable network infrastructures that support RTX's mission-critical aerospace and defense systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead network modernization initiatives, troubleshoot complex network and security issues, and provide technical guidance to engineering teams.

What You Will Do

• Develop and maintain network architecture supporting enterprise and mission-critical systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design network solutions that meet business and security requirements.
• Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to improve network efficiency and security.
• Troubleshoot complex network and security issues to ensure system uptime and reliability.
• Lead network modernization initiatives and provide technical guidance to engineering teams.
• Document network configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with RTX policies and industry standards.
• Apply advanced networking and cybersecurity practices within highly regulated aerospace and defense environments.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field and 10+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree and 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with enterprise-level network hardware, such as Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto.
• Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting practices.
• Active Secret Clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

• Master's degree in a related technical field.
• Deep expertise in network architecture, design, and implementation.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, and OSPF, and network security standards.
• CCIE or equivalent advanced networking certification.
• Experience working in highly classified or mission-critical environments.
• Familiarity with cloud networking solutions and hybrid network architectures.
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as NIST, RMF, or CMMC.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Work Location

This is a hybrid role, Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite.  Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
