At Evotec’s headquarters in Hamburg, Germany, we are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated

Legal Counsel (all genders)

Full-time and permanent

Key Responsibilities 

• Provide legal support for Evotec's global Commercial teams on all matters of contracts, commercial and ideally intellectual property laws: this includes drafting, reviewing and negotiating all kinds of commercial agreements (in particular Master Services-, Collaboration-, Licence-, Material Transfer-, Consultancy-, Confidentiality Agreements and other types of Life Sciences contracts 

• Prepare and review contract specimen, standard templates and approval processes  

• Provide legal advice and support for interdisciplinary and strategic projects  

• Ideally preparation and review of standard operating procedures, policies, contract templates and contribute to process improvement initiatives in the legal team 

• Develop a deep understanding of the full range of Evotec capabilities and platform technologies 

• Ideally managing legal trainings for internal stakeholders  

Required qualifications  

• Fully qualified lawyer with at least 3 years post qualification experience 

• Ideally In-house and/or law firm working experience in a similar role 

• Clear and open communication style to interact effectively across functional, geographic and cultural boundaries within the company and externally  

• Solid negotiation skills with the ability to influence at all levels  

• Self-starter who is resourceful and able to work effectively both independently as well as with a team 

• Ability to handle complexity of work under pressure and meet deadlines while remaining highly organized, prioritise and manage multiple tasks, and provide high quality work 

• Well-developed analytical and critical thinking skills; exceptional attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in all contractual documents   

• Highly motivated attitude  

• Fluency in written and spoken English and German 

Further ideal qualifications: 

• experience in the Biotech, Pharma or Healthcare sector 

• additional academic degrees in biotechnology and/or biomedical engineering sciences
