Position Summary

The Senior Director, Safety, Workforce Training & Operational Performance reports to the Senior Vice President and will serve as a senior leader within ACP’s new Institute for Safety, Workforce and Operational Performance. The Senior Director will lead ACP’s work across safety, workforce training, and the operation and maintenance (O&M) of clean energy facilities, working closely with ACP members and industry leaders to establish priorities and advance initiatives that support the safe and effective construction and operation of wind, solar and energy storage facilities.

The Senior Director will lead ACP’s member committees focused on safety, workforce training and operational performance in partnership with elected industry chairs and co-chairs. This includes leading technical discussions and the development of industry resources, including white papers, training materials and standards, as well as overseeing consultants and vendors supporting this work. The Senior Director will bring the technical knowledge and industry experience needed to guide this work, build consensus among members and identify emerging issues and priorities for ACP and the industry.

As an advanced individual contributor, the Senior Director will also serve as a subject matter expert across ACP, working closely with the Clean Power Institute, Policy and Advocacy teams and other internal partners on technical, regulatory and workforce issues. The role will provide technical guidance to ACP’s Standards Development Manager and support the Institute’s certification and training programs as needed. This position requires someone who can set direction and lead complex work while remaining directly involved in the day-to-day execution needed to move priorities forward.
