Social Media Manager

Bullfinch Recruitment is working with a fast-growing global gaming company to find an ambitious and creative Social Media Manager to take ownership of their social strategy and help shape how their brands connect with audiences online.

This is a great opportunity for someone who knows what makes people stop scrolling, understands how to build engaged communities and enjoys combining creative thinking with data and insight.

You’ll have real ownership of the social strategy across multiple brands — from deciding where and how the brands show up, to developing content strategies, shaping creative direction and finding new ways to grow reach and engagement.

Working closely with Content, Design, Campaigns and wider marketing teams, you’ll help turn big ideas into social-first content that feels relevant to each platform and gives audiences a reason to engage, follow and come back.

What you’ll be doing

• Own and develop the social media strategy across multiple brands, defining how they show up, grow reach and connect with audiences across different platforms.
• Build and manage the content strategy and editorial calendar, ensuring a consistent flow of engaging, platform-native content.
• Set the creative direction for Social, raising the creative bar and working closely with Content, Design and Campaigns to bring ideas to life.
• Find new and creative ways to amplify brand, marketing and customer initiatives across social, extending their reach beyond traditional channels.
• Work cross-functionally to activate campaigns, promotions and wider brand initiatives through social-first content.
• Develop creator and influencer partnerships that can extend brand visibility, reach and relevance to new audiences.
• Use audience insights, social trends and performance data to understand what is working and identify opportunities to improve.
• Test new platforms, formats, content ideas and creative approaches to discover new opportunities for growth.
• Own social performance, setting clear KPIs, tracking results and turning insights into actionable improvements.
• Stay close to emerging social trends and platform developments, ensuring the brands remain relevant, creative and competitive.
• Continuously evolve the social approach based on performance, audience behaviour and changing opportunities.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who combines strong social media expertise with a genuinely creative mindset. You’ll be comfortable setting the direction, getting stuck into the detail and working with others to turn ideas into content that performs.

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous experience in social media management, social strategy or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of major social platforms and what makes content work across different channels.
• Experience developing and delivering social media strategies for consumer-facing brands.
• A strong creative eye and the ability to set a clear creative direction.
• Experience developing content strategies and editorial calendars.
• A good understanding of audience behaviour, social trends and platform-native content.
• Experience working with creators, influencers or external content partners would be beneficial.
• A data-driven approach, with the ability to use performance insights to shape strategy and improve results.
• Experience defining and tracking social KPIs and communicating performance and learnings to stakeholders.
• Strong collaboration skills and experience working with creative, content, marketing or campaign teams.
• A proactive and experimental mindset, with the confidence to test new ideas, formats and platforms.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Experience within gaming, digital, consumer, technology, entertainment or another fast-moving consumer environment would be beneficial, but we’re open to candidates with a range of relevant backgrounds.
