Our team of specialists provides intermediary services to insurer clients, including sophisticated management information and innovative placement structures.

We are looking for a confident, articulate Graduate Trainee Account Manager to join our Casualty team. In this role, you will support the day-to-day administration of Casualty risks under delegated facility arrangements, ensuring transactions are accurately recorded and processed. You will work closely with Casualty brokers and Facility Insurers, supporting stakeholder engagement, delegated authority audits, compliance activities, and performance reporting.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate looking to begin a career in insurance, with the chance to develop technical knowledge, build strong stakeholder relationships, and gain exposure to a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

What you can expect:

  • A supportive and collaborative team environment

  • Opportunities to learn, develop, and build a career within Marsh

  • Exposure to Casualty portfolio solutions

  • The chance to work closely with experienced colleagues and Facility Insurers

  • Development of your commercial, technical, and client service skills in a professional environment

We will rely on you to:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for day-to-day communications with brokers and designated clients, following up on correspondence.

  • Support the development of strong account relationships between MPS and Facility Insurers.

  • Assist with training for Marsh broker colleagues on Casualty facility processes.

  • Address escalated issues and concerns in a timely and effective manner, helping manage expectations and escalating major issues to senior colleagues where appropriate.

  • Develop an understanding of client businesses by conducting research and providing relevant analysis.

  • Support the day-to-day management of designated accounts, preparing electronic submissions and facilitating the placement of risks via Marsh’s designated online platform, Whitespace.

  • Present facility performance analysis to Facility Insurers.

  • Report to senior colleagues on relationship satisfaction to ensure alignment across internal and external stakeholders.

  • Develop a strong understanding of Marsh’s and Facility Insurers’ products, colleagues, and operations to improve the quality of support provided.

  • Support senior account managers on larger initiatives, complex accounts, and ad hoc requests.

What you need to have:

  • Degree educated with a minimum 2:1 (or equivalent) with a genuine interest in beginning a career in the insurance industry.

  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at different levels.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative and professional approach.

  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, with a methodical approach to managing tasks and priorities.

  • A strong customer service mindset and commitment to delivering a positive, responsive experience.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines.

What makes you stand out:

  • A strong interest in the Casualty insurance market.

  • Previous exposure to insurance, broking, underwriting, or client service, through work experience, internships, or placements.

  • Strong Excel skills, paired with clear and effective communication.

  • Confidence in presenting and working in a flexible, fast-paced role.

  • A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and develop within a specialist team.

Why join our team:

  • We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders.

  • We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients and communities.

  • Our scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities, as well as benefits and rewards to enhance your well-being.
