We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst with strong expertise in SQL and data validation to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of enterprise data. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Business Analysts, BI teams, and business stakeholders to validate data pipelines, ETL processes, semantic models, and Tableau dashboards. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, the ability to investigate data issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure business metrics are accurate and reliable. The candidate is also expected to mentor and guide junior analysts by sharing best practices, and providing technical direction, while remaining an individual contributor. Experience using AI tools to improve productivity and analysis is also expected.
Work Shift
MN 5x8 – Night/3rd shift (approximately 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM)
Must-Have Skills
● Advanced SQL with the ability to write and optimize complex queries.
● Strong data analysis and troubleshooting skills.
● Experience working with Tableau dashboards and reports.
● Experience working with ETL/data pipelines and source-to-target data.
● Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical and business teams.
● Understanding of semantic layers, data models, and business metrics.
● Strong knowledge of data quality, reconciliation, and root cause analysis.
● Working knowledge of AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot) for data analysis and productivity.
Good-to-Have Skills
● Experience with AWS cloud data platforms such as Amazon Redshift, AWS Glue, Amazon Athena, and Amazon S3.
● Experience with Git and CI/CD best practices.
● Understanding of cloud data architectures and modern data warehouse concepts.
● Experience working in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Data Quality environments.
● Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Data Engineering, Product, Business Intelligence, and business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
● Exposure to Python for data analysis, automation, or scripting.
● Understanding of context layer concepts and modern semantic modeling architectures.
● Familiarity with dbt and data quality frameworks or tools.
