Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol in Jessup, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide professional customer service. You will communicate clearly, document security-related activity using computer or tablet tools, and work with a dependable team that values agility, reliability, innovation, care, teamwork, and integrity.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

• Security Experience (C115):Candidates must have a minimum of one year of experience in a security-related role. This experience should demonstrate the ability to handle security protocols and procedures effectively.

• Access Control/Badge Experience (B201):Candidates should possess experience with access control systems and badge management. Familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing access badges is essential.

• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204):Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in using computers or tablets. This includes the ability to navigate software applications, manage electronic communications, and utilize digital tools effectively.

• Customer Service Experience (B219):Candidates should have a background in customer service, showcasing their ability to interact positively with clients and colleagues. Experience in resolving issues and providing assistance is highly valued.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating information to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, access points, and the business perimeter to help identify unusual activity or potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the location by observing entry and exit activity, verifying credentials or delivery documentation as directed by site procedures, and reporting unauthorized access attempts.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and daily logs while maintaining a professional presence in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have access control and badge experience, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
