Associate Director, Platform Enablement

What is the opportunity?

 

Accountable for driving strategic initiatives and execution excellence within a defined functional area of the Cross-Product Operations platform. Acts as a key operational and strategic partner to the Platform Lead, managing end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional workstreams while ensuring alignment with platform objectives, enterprise architecture standards, and regulatory requirements.

This role bridges operational execution with strategic planning, ensuring that platform initiatives translate into measurable business outcomes while maintaining discipline in delivery, governance, and stakeholder engagement.

 

What will you do?

 

Strategic Planning & Roadmap Execution

• Develop and own functional-area roadmaps aligned with the broader platform strategy in partnership with functional-area Product Ownership team
• Works with technology and Product Owner team to prioritize and plan out delivery leveraging Agility best practices
• Ensures Operational Readiness and Change Management activities and complete prior to launch, including training plans and communications; ensuring solutions are production-ready and operationally sustainable
• Embed & Sustain activities including post-implementation oversight to ensure Key Success Metrics are met, resolve any issues, ensuring post launch feedback loop, and adoption.
• Translate platform-level OKRs into actionable quarterly and annual plans
• Prioritize initiatives based on value, risk, and organizational capacity
• Partner with stakeholders to identify investment opportunities and mitigation strategies
• Track and communicate progress against committed deliverables

Cross-Functional Delivery & POD Coordination

• Lead cross-POD workstreams and manage interdependencies within functional scope
• Remove blockers and escalate risks to Platform Lead in a timely manner
• Coordinate with multiple teams to ensure aligned delivery and consistent quality
• Drive adoption of delivery disciplines and agile practices
• Monitor delivery velocity and throughput, identifying improvement opportunities

Stakeholder Management & Communication

• Serve as primary point of contact for assigned functional area stakeholders
• Present progress updates, risks, and investment cases to senior leadership
• Translate technical execution into business impact and operational benefit
• Influence cross-functional partners (Technology, Risk, Finance, Operations)
• Ensure transparency and alignment across all levels of engagement

Governance, Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure initiatives comply with regulatory, legal, and risk requirements
• Partner with Risk and Compliance teams on design reviews and control validation
• Maintain documentation and audit trails for functional area decisions and changes
• Proactively identify and mitigate operational, compliance, and execution risks
• Support regulatory reporting and control obligations

•  Data governance and stewardship for the functional area as the system transitions to a corporate asset, ensuring data quality, consistency, and accessibility across enterprise stakeholders
•  Partner with business stakeholders across the organization to understand data requirements, validate data accuracy for critical business processes, and resolve data issues that impact enterprise decision-making and operational performance
•  Support compliance and control activities by ensuring data availability, traceability, and accuracy for regulatory reporting, audits, risk assessments, and corporate audit trails

 

Platform Integrity & Architecture

• Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture standards within functional scope
• Recommend technical debt remediation and modernization initiatives
• Promote reusability, scalability, and standardization across deliverables
• Guide functional-area design decisions aligned with platform coherence

 Key Outcomes & Success Metrics

• Functional-area roadmap delivered on time and on budget
• Measurable business value achieved (efficiency gains, risk mitigation, cost reduction)
• Consistent delivery performance across assigned workstreams

What you need to succeed?

• 10+ years of relevant professional experience
• University degree or College Diploma or equivalent combination of qualifications
• Strategic thinking and business acumen
• Execution excellence and delivery discipline
• Cross-functional influence and stakeholder management
• Risk awareness and compliance mindset
• Problem-solving and analytical capability
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
