Job Description
The Data Governance Manager will play a key role within the VFC Global Account Team, responsible for establishing, maintaining, and evolving the data governance framework that supports all digital activation, reporting, and performance measurement across 10+ global markets.
This role ensures that data structures, taxonomies, workflows, and standards are consistently applied across all digital platforms and offline media environments. The Data Governance Manager acts as the process owner of taxonomy governance, data quality, and data standards, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and usability of data across the entire media ecosystem.
Working closely with digital activation, planning, analytics, and client account teams, this role ensures alignment on priorities, drives compliance, and supports the development of a scalable, high-quality data environment that enables robust reporting and strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Monitor data governance and taxonomy compliance, using reporting and quality checks to identify issues and drive corrective action across global markets.
- Lead regular governance reviews with market and central teams to align on priorities, standards, performance, and compliance requirements.
- Drive continuous improvements to data quality, governance processes, and operational efficiency across the wider media ecosystem.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations when data quality or governance issues impact reporting accuracy or business performance.
- Partner with analytics, activation, and planning teams to ensure data structures support effective measurement, reporting, and decision-making.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across markets to resolve data challenges, improve data hygiene, and embed governance best practices.
- Support the evolution of reporting and data infrastructure by identifying opportunities for automation, process enhancement, and scalable solutions.
Qualifications
- 4+ years' experience in data governance, data management, analytics, or digital media within a multi-market environment.
- Strong knowledge of data governance principles, including taxonomy management, metadata standards, data quality controls, and compliance processes.
- Experience working with digital advertising platforms (e.g., Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, DV360, Google Ads) and understanding of digital media data ecosystems.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools, including Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, and advanced Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to clean, validate, and manage datasets, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and reporting readiness.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and organisational skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach to driving governance standards across global teams.
