Job Description:

The Support Staff represents WVDF in the Area Development Program in Southern Leyte, providing technical and operational support to the team to maximize transformational impact among children, families, and communities in ADP-covered areas. The role ensures the quality, accuracy, and timely management of data and sponsorship records in accordance with partnership sponsorship standards and requirements.

 

This is a one-year, fixed-term position based in Southern Leyte.

 

Major Responsibilities

• Provides support in preparing and educating families and communities on sponsorship processes, expectations, and requirements.
• Provides coaching and technical support to establish and strengthen community-based child monitoring mechanisms through regular meetings, follow-ups, and integration of sponsorship requirements and standards.
• Manages sponsorship-related correspondence, including Introduction Letters (IL), Exit Letters (EL), Special Letters (SL), Gifts and Letters (GAL), and queries, ensuring compliance with partnership sponsorship standards.
• Manages and ensures the completeness of documentation packages for new growth, including Child Health (CH), Child Growth and Participation (CGP), Child and/or Community Growth Visits (CGVs), and Exit Letters (EL).
• Facilitates processes related to the preparation of the Annual Progress Report (APR) and Christmas/Greeting Cards, including ensuring that all registered children have updated Child Update Profiles (CUPs) uploaded in SSUI (HOPE) and updated Child Update Videos (CUVs) for international Area Programs (APs).
• Provides support to the AP team in implementing ongoing and creative sponsorship education activities for registered children, other vulnerable children, and communities.
• Collaborates with community child monitors to develop and strengthen strategies for effective sponsorship management and child monitoring. Provides support to the team in capturing, organizing, uploading, and translating community videos and other sponsorship-related materials.
• Performs other sponsorship-related support functions as may be assigned to contribute to the effective implementation of the Area Development Program.

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least two years of relevant experience in program or project management, preferably in an NGO or development organization.
• Excellent communication, networking, alliance-building, and facilitation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and able to effectively use digital tools and technology for program management, documentation, and data management.
• Willingness to live in or near the barangay/primary area of implementation to ensure regular engagement with communities.
• Willingness and physical capacity to undertake regular fieldwork and community visits in the covered communities of Liloan and San Francisco, Southern Leyte, including walking long distances when necessary.
• Proficient in Cebuano and Tagalog, with the ability to communicate effectively with children, families, community members, and local stakeholders.
• Demonstrates adaptability, teamwork, and commitment to working in community-based settings.
