About the location:

Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle, nestled near the convergence of the Ruak and Mekong Rivers, offers a unique vantage point overlooking Thailand, Burma, and Laos. This luxurious escape, reached by a boat journey down the Ruak River, is enveloped in a thick bamboo forest, combining the thrill of a jungle adventure with the comfort of the Four Seasons brand. The camp boasts 15 uniquely decorated tents and an Explorer’s Lodge, all reminiscent of 19th-century expeditions with handcrafted furnishings and modern amenities. About the role

Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle is seeking a talented Assistant Manager, Security and Safety to join our team. The Assistant Manager, Security and Safety is responsible for overseeing daily security, safety, fire life safety, and emergency response operations to protect guests, employees, visitors, assets, and property. The role leads the Security Department, Ranger team, and third-party security service providers while ensuring compliance with applicable health, safety, fire, and security regulations. The position supports the Director of Security in developing, implementing, and reviewing preventive security programs, emergency procedures, the Hotel Emergency Response Plan, Crisis Management Plan, and Business Continuity Plan. The role also acts as the designated Incident Commander or Emergency Coordinator during major emergencies and coordinates with local authorities, emergency services, government agencies, and relevant external stakeholders.

What you will do

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Security Department, Ranger team (third-party security service provider).
  • Ensure the safety and security of guests, employees, visitors, facilities, assets, and property.
  • Maintain regular security patrols and inspections across guest areas, staff areas, operational areas, and other designated locations.
  • Monitor and maintain security and emergency systems, including CCTV, access control, fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, radios, satellite phones, and other communication equipment, in close coordination with the Chief Engineer to ensure that all fire life safety systems are properly inspected, tested, maintained, and operational at all times.
  • Respond promptly to security incidents, disturbances, criminal activities, threats, accidents, medical emergencies, fires, and other emergency situations.
  • Act as the Incident Commander or Emergency Coordinator during major incidents and ensure timely escalation to the Director of Security and management.
  • Develop, implement, maintain, and regularly review the Hotel Emergency Response Plan, Crisis Management Plan, Business Continuity Plan, fire life safety procedures, and preventive security programs.
  • Conduct risk assessments for guest activities, including elephant interactions where applicable, staff areas, operational processes, transportation, excursions, and environmental risks.
  • Monitor weather conditions and environmental factors that may affect guest activities, vehicle movements, transportation, or overall hotel safety.
  • Ensure the safe operation of guest transportation, vehicle movements, transfers, and emergency transportation procedures.
  • Maintain the readiness, availability, and proper condition of first aid kits, AEDs, firefighting equipment, rescue equipment, emergency lighting, radios, satellite phones, and other emergency resources.
  • Coordinate emergency medical response, evacuation procedures, hospital communication, ambulance support, and emergency services when required.
  • Organize and conduct fire drills, evacuation drills, weekly firefighting training, emergency response exercises, shift briefings, and security standards testing.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, security, fire life safety, regulatory, permit, license, and statutory inspection requirements.
  • Coordinate with local authorities, police, fire and rescue services, hospitals, government agencies, Chief Engineer, contractors, vendors, and external service providers as required.
  • Oversee contractor and vendor compliance with hotel security and safety requirements.
  • Maintain accurate security logs, incident reports, investigation records, risk assessment documents, statutory inspection records, and Lost & Found records.
  • Investigate accidents, injuries, near misses, security incidents, and property damage; identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare and present monthly Safety and Security Reports covering incident trends, audit findings, training statistics, risk mitigation actions, operational issues, and improvement recommendations.
  • Ensure the Lost & Found system is managed in accordance with FS standards and guidelines.
  • Supervise, coach, develop, and conduct performance appraisals for Rangers team members.
  • Manage Ranger team responsibilities relating to luggage handling, guest assistance, VIP meet-and-greet services, and operational support during peak periods or operational challenges.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of security supplies, safety equipment, uniforms, communication devices, and departmental resources.
  • Attend management meetings and collaborate with relevant departments to continuously improve security, safety, emergency preparedness, and guest service standards.

What you bring

  • Strong leadership, team management, coaching, and supervisory skills.
  • Experience in security operations, safety management, fire life safety, emergency response, or related field.
  • Experience in risk assessment, hazard identification, accident investigation, and incident reporting.
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, fire safety standards, security procedures, and emergency response practices.
  • Certified or experienced in CPR, First Aid, and Fire Fighting.
  • Ability to remain calm, make sound decisions, and lead effectively during emergencies and high-pressure situations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to prepare clear reports, incident documentation, presentations, and operational updates.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Positive attitude, resilience, flexibility, integrity, and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with internal departments, third-party service providers, local authorities, emergency services, and government agencies.

Schedule & Hours:

This is a full-time position that requires flexibility to work weekends and public holidays.
