About the role
You’ll be responsible for:
- Supporting the preparation of Group and entity-level statutory financial statements
- Producing accurate reporting and supporting schedules in line with agreed deadlines
- Coordinating information and responding to queries from external auditors
- Ensuring reporting is compliant with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Preparing technical accounting papers and contributing to the resolution of complex accounting matters
- Maintaining clear documentation, reconciliations and audit trails
- Working with Finance teams across the Group to gather, review and challenge reporting information
- Identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes, controls and efficiency
- Supporting wider Finance projects and reporting requirements as the business continues to evolve
About you
You’ll have:
- An ACA, ACCA or equivalent accounting qualification
- Experience preparing or reviewing statutory financial statements
- Strong knowledge of relevant accounting standards and external reporting requirements
- Experience working closely with external auditors
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders across different teams
- A proactive and collaborative approach, with the confidence to challenge where needed
- An interest in improving processes and strengthening financial controls
