Accounting Manager | Manufacturing Industry Experience Preferred | Klamath Falls, OR
Every manufacturing operation runs on two things. The machines on the floor and the numbers behind them. When the accounting function is sharp the business knows exactly where it stands, what it costs to produce and where the opportunities are. When it is not the whole operation flies blind.
This role is for the accounting professional who understands that and takes ownership of the numbers with the same precision the floor takes with the product.
A global manufacturing company with a strong international presence is looking for an Accounting Manager in Klamath Falls, Oregon to oversee accounting operations, lead a junior accountant and partner with operations and sales on budgeting and financial analysis.

What you will be doing:
- Preparing and completing month end financial statements
- Performing variance and financial analyses
- Collaborating with operations and sales to develop yearly and quarterly budgets
- Calculating and reporting lower of cost or market value of panel inventory
- Processing fiber payable and receivable transactions and contract adjustments
- Producing monthly reports and recommending improvements to accounting processes
- Overseeing and mentoring a Junior Accountant
- Managing performance of your direct report in accordance with company values and policies
What you need to bring:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience
- Minimum five years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP with general ledger, account reconciliation and cash management skills
- Proficiency in accounting software programs
- Manufacturing or relevant industry experience preferred
- High level of personal integrity and professional standards
- Ability to self direct, prioritize workflow and exercise sound judgment
