P1Summary:
The Administrator Operations / MTEC Projectionist is responsible for utilizing the MTEC system to forecast feed requirements, coordinate feed delivery schedules, and support daily feed mill operations. This position serves as a liaison between Feed Mill Operations, Dispatch, Feed Haul Supervisors, Live Production, and Transportation to ensure feed is delivered accurately and on time according to flock age, ration requirements, inventory levels, and production schedules.
The role is responsible for providing dispatch with available loads for driver assignment, monitoring feed projections, prioritizing deliveries, and ensuring uninterrupted feed availability to support flock performance and operational objectives.
Work Schedule
· Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
· Schedule may vary based on feed demand, flock requirements, weather conditions, and transportation needs.
· Occasional weekend, holiday, and after-hours support may be required to address feed delivery issues, feed outages, or emergency scheduling situations.
Key Responsibilities
MTEC Projection & Feed Planning
· Utilize the MTEC system to project feed requirements based on flock age, bird inventory, feed consumption trends, and production schedules.
· Monitor projected feed demand and communicate requirements to feed mill operations.
· Forecast feed requirements to support efficient production scheduling and inventory management.
· Ensure proper ration sequencing and feed availability based on nutritional specifications.
Feed Scheduling & Dispatch Coordination
· Serve as a liaison between Dispatch, Feed Haul Supervisors, Live Production, and Feed Mill Operations.
· Provide dispatch with available feed loads for assignment to drivers.
· Coordinate feed deliveries according to flock age, feed consumption, ration requirements, and production priorities.
· Develop and maintain daily and weekly feed schedules.
· Monitor farm inventory levels and feeding requirements to ensure appropriate production of feed for timely deliveries.
· Communicate delivery priorities to dispatch personnel and feed haul supervisors.
· Adjust production schedules in response to changing flock needs, production delays, weather conditions, or transportation constraints.
· Assist in coordinating emergency deliveries to prevent feed outages.
Operational Coordination
· Work closely with Feed Haul Supervisors regarding route planning and delivery schedules.
· Coordinate with Live Production, and Feed Mill personnel to align feed availability with flock requirements.
· Monitor load status and delivery completion to ensure service objectives are achieved.
· Support accounting to ensure needed information is provided in a timely manner.
· Support transportation planning to maximize fleet utilization and delivery efficiency.
Administrative & Reporting
· Maintain accurate records of feed projections.
· Generate reports related to demand projections.
· Track and communicate key operational metrics to management.
· Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on scheduling efficiency, inventory management, and customer service.
Qualifications
· High School Diploma or GED required.
· Associate degree in Agriculture, Business, Logistics, or related field preferred.
· Experience in feed manufacturing, poultry operations, transportation scheduling, logistics, or inventory management preferred.
· Working knowledge of MTEC or similar feed management systems preferred.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
· Knowledge of poultry feeding programs and feed delivery operations.
· Strong organizational, planning, and scheduling abilities.
· Ability to analyze production and consumption data to develop accurate feed projections.
· Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
· High attention to detail and commitment to operational accuracy.
Success Factors
A successful Administrator Operations / MTEC Projectionist ensures accurate feed projections, effective communication between feed mill operations and feed haul operations, and uninterrupted feed availability for all assigned flocks. This position plays a critical role in supporting flock performance, feed mill efficiency, and overall operational success.
