Summary
Harbor Capital Advisors is hiring a Senior Analyst in our Investment Research Team (“IRT”). IRT is responsible for the underwriting and selection of our investment partners. The primary responsibilities include underwriting and ongoing coverage of outside investment managers and generating and communicating insights with internal and external stakeholders. This is an opportunity to have a direct impact as part of a dynamic and rapidly expanding company, with exposure to many different asset classes, product types, and investment dialogues.
Key Responsibilities
Continuously monitor and evaluate the investment merits of existing investment strategies
Identify and underwrite new investment strategies through deep research and synthesis of quantitative and qualitative data
Translate investment message into actionable written and verbal insights for internal and external stakeholders
Contribute to rigor of investment process through discussion, debate and challenge
Collaborate with adjacent teams within the broader Investments Team, such as the Multi-Asset, Product and Investment Specialist teams
Minimum Qualifications
5-15 years of relevant investment experience, including manager selection, investment due diligence, investment research, or a related area.
Strong knowledge of the asset management industry and investment strategies.
Strong proficiency in Python or R, as well as SQL, a plus.
Demonstrated experience analyzing investment strategies and conducting rigorous quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Experience independently investigating open-ended investment, analytical, and data-related questions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience communicating investment and technical concepts to audiences with varying levels of expertise.
Experience managing or interacting with external investment manager relationships.
Demonstrated experience using artificial intelligence (AI) tools in relevant professional work.
Experience with investment research and analytics platforms such as Morningstar, FactSet, and eVestment is preferred.

Ability to identify and communicate the most relevant investment insights and takeaways to the Distribution team and other internal stakeholders.

Ability to explain complex investment, quantitative, and technical concepts clearly to audiences with varying levels of expertise.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality and analytical accuracy.
Intellectual curiosity and creative thinking, particularly when approaching investment analysis, data questions, and product ideas.
Ability and willingness to learn new technologies, data sources, analytical methods, and investment concepts.
Ability to work independently, take ownership of responsibilities, and demonstrate strong responsiveness and follow-through.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment and proactively identify areas for improvement.
Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, including a willingness to contribute to broader team priorities as needed.
Base Salary Range: $120,000 - $165,000, plus bonus eligibility
