Key Responsibilities
Safety & Quality
- Champion a strong safety-first culture and drive an incident-free working environment.
- Ensure compliance with Applied Materials and customer safety standards.
- Drive operational excellence through quality management, continuous improvement and performance accountability.
- Promote disciplined problem solving using tools such as 8D and AAR.
Customer & Business Leadership
- Build strong, trusted relationships with customer stakeholders at all levels.
- Act as a key leadership interface during customer ramps, escalations and critical business activities.
- Deliver operational performance in line with customer commitments and business objectives.
- Support strategic customer initiatives and identify opportunities to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Financial & Commercial Performance
- Manage installation, warranty and service operations within assigned areas.
- Drive performance against revenue, margin, utilisation and cost objectives.
- Partner with Finance on forecasting, budgeting and resource planning activities.
- Support the growth of Commercial Service Agreements and broader business opportunities with key customers.
- Apply sound commercial judgement to operational decision-making and business priorities.
People Leadership
- Lead, coach and develop a team of engineers and frontline leaders.
- Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, engagement and continuous improvement.
- Drive workforce planning, talent development and organisational capability.
- Support hiring, onboarding and succession planning activities to ensure long-term team success.
Stakeholder Management
- Partner effectively across Operations, Sales, Finance, HR, Supply Chain and Technical Support functions.
- Influence outcomes across a complex matrix organisation.
- Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, providing clear operational insights and business updates.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives that support customer success and business growth.
Planning & Execution
- Lead resource planning and training activities to support customer demand and factory ramps.
- Ensure successful execution of installations, start-ups and service delivery activities.
- Support long-range planning and operational readiness for future business growth.
- Drive strategic improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and organisational effectiveness.

Qualifications & Experience
- BS degree or equivalent in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Business or a related discipline.
- Minimum 6 years' experience in a technical service, operations or engineering environment.
- Proven leadership experience managing technical teams in a customer-facing environment.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience balancing customer, operational and business priorities.
- Experience managing budgets, operational metrics and performance objectives.
- Ability to navigate a complex matrix organisation and influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Semiconductor industry experience, or experience in a comparable high-technology environment, is advantageous.

NoThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
