Job Summary

The Engineering Technician Intern will work alongside highly skilled engineers and technicians to gain hands-on experience in mechanical systems, fabrication, and installation. This role provides exposure to advanced, high-speed production equipment while supporting production and maintenance teams to ensure operations run efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Learn and apply mechanical, fabrication, and installation techniques in a manufacturing environment
• Work with subject matter experts to gain exposure to advanced and high-speed production machinery
• Support production and maintenance teams to keep production lines running smoothly
• Use hand and power tools to fabricate and assemble components for production lines and equipment
• Learn the principles of flatbread production, including processes and equipment
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, layouts, and schematics to support equipment assembly and commissioning
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and apply creative, practical solutions
• Participate in engineering studies, equipment designs, and improvement initiatives
• Contribute to and actively participate in continuous improvement projects to optimize process and production line performance
• Promote and adhere to Health & Safety standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)

Key Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field
• Basic understanding of or ability to read, engineering schematics and technical drawings
• Passion for developing hands-on technical skills and working in a team-oriented environment
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting with a continuous improvement mindset and a can-do attitude
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is preferred but not required
