Engineering Technician Process Intern

Job Summary

The Engineering Technician Intern will support the process, installation and commissioning team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with state-of-the-art equipment. This hands-on role involves troubleshooting, assembly, equipment installation and basic welding, while contributing to continuous improvement and safety initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the team to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, learning mechanical repair, welding and fabrication to minimize downtime
  • Assist with installation, commissioning and maintenance projects, supporting the assembly and optimization of state-of-the-art machinery on production lines
  • Document Assembly and Design reviews of installations on manufacturing test equipment 
  • Read schematic, layouts, data, and process sheets for testing and troubleshooting  
  • Travel between facilities for critical repairs and project support; flexible shifts including weekends
  • Support Continuous Improvement activities in Manufacturing 
  • Contributes/fosters Health & Safety and GMP’s 

Key Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Engineering, Engineering Technology or related field
  • Ability to read schematics and prints; basic mechanical aptitude
  • Experience with maintenance systems and MS Office applications
  • Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle is required
  • Passion for developing hands-on technical skills with tools and equipment
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
