Summary:
A ServiceNow Business Analyst (BA) for the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) sector acts as the critical bridge between business stakeholders (compliance officers, risk managers) and technical teams. They ensure ServiceNow platforms (like ITSM,SPM, ITOM and ) automate BFSI workflows securely and efficiently.

Role Overview As a ServiceNow Business Analyst in the BFSI sector, you will lead requirement gathering, process mapping, and functional design for banking-specific ServiceNow implementations. You will ensure the platform aligns with complex regulatory mandates, operational risk management practices, and strict data security standards.

Key Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering: Conduct workshops with BFSI stakeholders to translate business needs into detailed technical user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria.
Module Specialization: Drive functional requirements for ServiceNow modules, focusing heavily on ITSM,CMDB,HAM and Integrations.
Process Optimization: Analyze As-Is banking operations and design To-Be automated workflows for incident, problem, change management, and audit tracking.
UAT & Testing: Define functional test scenarios, coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business users, and manage post-go-live support.
Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary liaison between IT developers and business units (e.g., retail banking, wealth management, risk/compliance). Required Qualifications
Experience: 5–8+ years of total IT experience, with at least 3–5 years dedicated strictly to ServiceNow support and development activity as a Business Analyst.
Platform Expertise: Deep functional understanding of ServiceNow ITSM. Hands-on exposure to ServiceNow tool is highly mandatory for risk-focused roles.
Agile Methodology: Proven track record of writing stories and managing backlogs in Agile/Scrum or SAFe environments.
Soft Skills: Exceptional client-facing, communication, and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Certifications: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS - ITSM).
Education: Bachelor s degree or BE / B.Tech.
