Job Description

As a Security Officer School Center in Lawrence, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a government school location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to students, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and school community members while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, student or visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with school district procedures, documenting observations and reporting unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate daily activity logs and incident reports, communicating relevant security-related information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
