We are seeking a talented individual to join our Government Human Services Consulting (GHSC) - Legal & Compliance team at Mercer, a Marsh business. This role can be based in Phoenix, Louisville, or Nashville and offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office.
As a Legal & Compliance Coordinator, you will support the Legal and Compliance function within GHSC to ensure work is accurate, traceable, and completed on time. The role is part of a cross-functional support team that partners closely with all business sectors and operational stakeholders.
We will count on you to:
- Serve as the primary coordinator for subcontractor legal administration, supporting onboarding, engagement changes, renewals, and offboarding activities
- Prepare, issue, track, and maintain Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and related confidentiality documentation; follow up with internal stakeholders and external parties to obtain timely execution

- Manage document version control for legal and compliance files, ensuring accurate labeling, controlled access, and retention of final, approved versions in designated repositories
- Draft, assemble, and process standard legal forms and templates (e.g., acknowledgements, attestations, compliance-related forms) in alignment with internal requirements
- Monitor and manage the team mailbox, triaging requests, routing items to appropriate contacts, and ensuring responses meet service-level expectations
- Support compliance audit review activities, validate document completeness, and coordinate audit completeness
- Track compliance obligations and key dates, maintain a centralized deadline calendar, and proactively escalate upcoming or at-risk deadlines
- Maintain accurate logs and status reporting (e.g., NDA status, subcontractor documentation, audit requests, and deadlines) to support leadership visibility and governance
- Partner with Legal, Compliance and business stakeholders to ensure consistent processes, adherence to policy, and continuous improvement in coordination workflows
- Leverage Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to create correspondence, trackers, reports, and presentations; use Smartsheet to manage workflows, task assignments, and deadline tracking
What you need to have:
- HS diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience in a legal administrator or coordinator role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High-fidelity document management experience
- Experience handling sensitive, highly confidential information with utmost discretion and risk awareness
- Proven deadline control and attention to detail
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
