As a Facilities Technician you will be responsible for supporting the maintenance and operation of facility systems and infrastructure to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient work environment. This position provides hands-on experience in building maintenance, minor repairs, preventive maintenance, and facility improvement projects while working alongside experienced maintenance professionals.
WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
- Assist with routine maintenance of facility systems, plumbing, compressed air, scrap processing, and building infrastructure.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules.
- Support troubleshooting and basic repairs of facility equipment and systems.
- Complete work orders and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Ensure tools, equipment, and maintenance areas are organized and maintained.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and facility enhancement projects.
- Respond to facility maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
YOU HAVE:
- Problem solving skills necessary, with the ability to make informed decisions
- Good organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced; multi-tasking environment and meet operational deadlines.
- Must be self-motivated, safety and quality conscious, and work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Able to work overtime regularly and with minimal notice to meet business needs.
- Good communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
2nd Shift Availability: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
