This opportunity at Robley Insurance, a Shepherd Insurance Partner. As a Commercial Lines Associate Account Manager within the Commercial Lines team in the Shepherd family, you will assist insurance advisors in the handling and processing of new and renewal commercial lines business in accordance with agency guidelines. You will serve as a utility player within the Commercial Lines team and service commercial account. You will shift focus as needed to assist agency personnel and clients. In addition, you will provide a high level of support in obtaining, maintaining, expanding, and servicing commercial accounts. With a positive attitude, the Account Management team also provides customer service to clients as assigned and requested.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide positive, prompt, accurate, and courteous service to account managers and clients, as necessary.
• Maintain electronic and/or paper files in an orderly, up-to-date manner.
• Check manual policies, order loss runs, issue renewal binders, invoices, ID cards and certificates.
• Receive phone calls from clients and companies regarding policy coverage, claims or administrative needs: comply with the request and/or refer to the advisor when necessary.
• Assist in marketing new and renewal business. Evaluate premiums, prepare proposals, presentation packets and maintain underwriting and marketing information by carrier.
• Maintain a suspense system to follow up on outstanding orders, correspondence, reports, and follow up on overdue and suspense items.
• Serve as a utility player within the Commercial Lines division to maintain strong service on accounts, to clients, and insurance advisors when agency personnel is out of office. 
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

 REQUIREMENTS: 

• Experience: At least two (2) years’ experience in similar position is desirable.
• Education requirement: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required. College degree is preferred, not necessary.
• Required state licensing certification. 
• Strong understanding of commercial lines insurance coverages, forms, procedures, and policy rating systems.
• Familiar in a variety of computer software applications including Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), agency & document managing system (AMS 360).
