About the role:

As an Accountant, Finance, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and compliant accounting records for the Ukrainian market. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for inventory and banking accounting activities, supporting month-end closing processes, and maintaining high standards of financial control.

 

In this role, you will:

• Process payments to local vendors, support procurement activities, and communicate with banking partners.
• Perform daily monitoring and reconciliation of bank accounts.
• Manage primary accounting documents, bank statements, and the archive of original financial documentation.
• Record inventory transactions in BAS and calculate Cost of Sales (COS).
• Participate in physical inventory counts and inventory verification activities.
• Monitor and control inventory movements and the associated documentation flow.
• Calculate monthly inventory reserves.
• Reconcile inventory and Cost of Sales data between Oracle and BAS systems.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities for assigned accounting areas.
• Prepare and maintain account reconciliations within assigned areas in OneStream.
• Support preparation of corporate reporting packages for monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Respond to ad hoc requests and reporting requirements from Corporate Finance and other stakeholders.
• Support annual external audits and internal audits, ensuring timely responses to audit requests.
• Ensure all required corporate reports and balance sheet reconciliations are completed accurately and on time.
• Build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and cross-functional teams.
• Participate in finance projects, process improvement initiatives, and system testing activities.
• Ensure effective utilization of accounting and banking systems.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce manual work through automation and standardization.

 

 

Our Requirements:

 

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an accounting role.
• Hands-on experience with inventory accounting and banking activities.
• Good knowledge of Ukrainian statutory accounting and tax regulations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, IF formulas, and working with large data sets.
• Experience working with accounting software, preferably BAS.
• Knowledge of Oracle or another ERP system would be considered an advantage.
• Proven ability to process and analyze large volumes of data across multiple systems (BAS, Oracle, Excel).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Audit experience would be a plus.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and manage priorities effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and openness to change, particularly in a dynamic business environment and during system transitions.
• Fluency in Ukrainian.
• English proficiency at intermediate level or above (both written and spoken), min. B1 level.
• A proactive approach, willingness to ask questions, and a continuous improvement mindset.
