Description
Custom Personnel has a client seeking a Legal Secretary for their law office. The client is a reputable law firm with over fifty years of experience.
Must have experience with wills and trusts. Probate experience highly desired.
Responsibilities May Include:
- Typing, formatting, proofreading and filing legal documents
- Answering and directing phone calls, emails and faxes from clients, witnesses and court staff
- Managing attorney calendars and scheduling appointments, hearings and meetings
- Organizing and maintaining physical and electronic case files
- Transcribing dictation from lawyers
- Preparing and filing documents with courts, agencies and opposing counsel
- Assisting with basic legal research and verifying case citations
- Handling expense reports, timekeeping and client billing
- Maintaining confidentiality of client and firm information
