Electrical Manager

Cakum Global is recruiting an Electrical Manager for our client based in Lae, Papua New Guinea.

Role Overview:
This is a senior technical leadership role responsible for overseeing all electrical infrastructure, power generation systems, and electrical projects across a large-scale agribusiness and food production operation. The successful candidate will ensure operational reliability, electrical safety, and the delivery of key infrastructure initiatives.

Key Highlights

• Lead and manage all LV and HV electrical systems across multiple operational sites
• Oversee power generation infrastructure, including generators, backup systems, and renewable energy projects
• Manage electrical CAPEX projects, upgrades, and facility expansions
• Drive preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and uptime
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulatory requirements
• Lead and develop a team of electrical personnel and contractors
• Support future infrastructure growth and energy efficiency initiatives

Ideal Candidate

• Recognised Electrical Trade Qualification (Red Seal or equivalent)
• Electrical licence highly regarded
• Minimum 5 years' leadership experience in industrial electrical operations
• Strong experience with generators, switchboards, distribution systems, and industrial installations
• Experience managing large-scale electrical projects and maintenance programs
• Background in manufacturing, food processing, agriculture, mining, or industrial environments preferred
• Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills
