## Preferred qualifications
Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational qualification: Masters/Bachelors in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
- Overall 12+ years of experience and at least 4-6 years of experience in leading Electrical/Electronic engineering team(s).
- Must have significant hands-on design experience in both PCB Hardware Design and Embedded Electronics/Firmware Development.
## What you’ll do
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a group of 6-10 Electrical/Electronic engineers responsible for PCB Hardware Design and Embedded Electronics/Firmware development across multiple Lam products.
- Develop & own roadmap of organizational technical capability that can support long term product group vision.
- Own and deliver PCB Hardware and Embedded System development projects from concept through production release, ensuring quality, cost, schedule and reliability objectives are met.
- Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews, schematic reviews, PCB layout reviews, firmware design reviews, debugging and root-cause analysis activities.
- Drive hardware and embedded system development best practices, including design reviews, design & coding standards, risk assessments, reliability, manufacturability and validation methodologies. Work with leadership peers to drive process improvements as necessary.
- Interacts with India and US-based Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Managers of different Lam Product Groups regarding workflow and in delivering results.
- Interaction with Lam Global suppliers for parts manufacturing / Address design related issues / OEM selections.
## Who we’re looking for
- Mandatory Skills required to performing the job:
- Functional and technical design expertise in various PCB Designs, Power distribution systems and/or Heater & I/O Controller (or PLC) designs, Low/High-voltage Embedded Circuit designs.
- Experience in working with Cross functional teams like Software, Mechanical and Suppliers, Manufacturing, troubleshooting (installation and commissioning) of Electrical/Electronic systems.
- 4-6 years of prior experience in managing direct reports consisting of Electrical & Electronics engineers / lead engineers.
(Demonstrated leadership skill in decision making and problem solving in absence of complete or accurate data. Experience in situational leadership, conducting appraisal feedback and motivating team in achieving business results.)
- Experience in complete product lifecycle: Planning (concept and feasibility studies), Requirements, Design, Design Reviews, Design for Testing/Manufacturability/Assembly etc., Testing and Troubleshooting, Integrating, Cross Functional Interaction etc., and Prototype to Production Release).
## Desirable Skills:
- * Excellent written, verbal, and business effective presentation skills.
- Experience in selection of Electronic/Electrical components, setting up equipment for experimentation / testing in laboratory environment, setting up safe practices.
- Must have good understanding of engineering concepts and CAD tools experience with the use of ORCAD/Cadence, Altium or equivalent CAD packages.
- Awareness of standards and compliances like IPC, NEC, NFPA, UL 489/508/1077, IEC standards
- Exposure in vendor development and concurrent engineering role.
- 8+ years of experience with capital equipment or similar (for e.g., chemical process, medical instrumentation, automotive, aircraft, etc.) industry in a sub-system design function.
