JOB SUMMARY
As Sales Manager based in Lagos, you will be responsible for driving business development and revenue growth for across Nigeria.
You will focus on identifying new opportunities, managing client relationships, and supporting the sales cycle for digital transformation and consulting solutions, particularly in energy and utilities.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role suited for a mid-level professional with strong sales acumen and understanding of the local market.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development & Sales Execution:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across target sectors (energy, utilities, infrastructure).
- Support end-to-end sales cycle including lead generation, qualification, proposal development, and closure.
- Maintain and grow a pipeline of qualified opportunities.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Support client meetings, presentations, and follow-ups to drive engagement.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and repeat business.
Pre-Sales & Solution Support:
- Work with internal teams to develop tailored proposals and solution offerings.
- Support demos, RFP responses, and commercial discussions.
- Articulate value propositions for digital, AI, and data-driven solutions.
Market Intelligence:
- Track market trends, competitor activities, and client needs in Nigeria.
- Identify emerging opportunities in oil & gas, utilities, and related sectors.
Collaboration & Execution:
- Coordinate with delivery and product teams to ensure smooth transition from sales to execution.
- Support account planning and strategic initiatives led by senior leadership.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
- MBA or Postgraduate degree preferred
- 4–6 years of experience in sales/business development
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Utilities, or technology solutions preferred
- Experience in Nigerian market strongly preferred
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Strong sales, negotiation, and communication skills
- Understanding of digital/technology solutions (AI, IoT, analytics) is an advantage
- Ability to build relationships and manage client interactions
- Self-driven with strong execution focus
- Good understanding of Nigerian business environment
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams
