Position Summary
The Infrastructure Lead is responsible for leading the design, maintenance, performance, security, and reliability of MegaCorp’s IT infrastructure. This role manages infrastructure systems, supports team execution, oversees infrastructure projects, partners with application and business teams, and ensures network, server, desktop, mobile, cloud, and communication systems operate efficiently while driving operational efficiency, cloud optimization, infrastructure resiliency, and cost-effective technology solutions to support business needs.

- Ensure infrastructure across networks, servers, databases, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications is standardized, secure, highly available, and proactively monitored to protect uptime and business continuity
- Deliver IT infrastructure that is built, maintained, and optimized using current technology and best practices to support long-term scalability and reliability
- Build an engaged, skilled infrastructure team equipped to perform at a high level through consistent leadership, coaching, and support
- Prioritize and deliver infrastructure projects, support requests, and technology improvement initiatives—designed to align with business needs, risk tolerance, and technology standards—on time, with the highest-impact work addressed first
- Drive continuous improvement in infrastructure performance, scalability, security, and reliability through ongoing assessment and recommendations
- Ensure corporate network, server, desktop, mobile, phone, and video conferencing resources reliably support the workforce
- Proactively manage infrastructure capacity, performance, and engineering project planning to prevent bottlenecks and support business growth
- Own cloud financial operations (FinOps) to keep Azure spend transparent, controlled, and continuously optimized, including governance standards for lifecycle management, tagging, rightsizing, reserved instances, storage optimization, and cost allocation—without compromising performance, security, scalability, or business continuity, and report cost trends to IT leadership
- Partner with application development teams to ensure internally developed applications are supported by resilient, highly available cloud infrastructure that meets enterprise standards for disaster recovery, backup, recovery, monitoring, and security
- Resolve infrastructure and end-user technology issues quickly, while identifying recurring issues, risks, and process gaps early and address them with sustainable, long-term solutions
- Keep infrastructure standards, documentation, procedures, and support models current, consistent, and continuously improved
- Deliver infrastructure solutions that support business operations through strong partnership with IT leadership, stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams
- Maintain the security and confidentiality of company systems, infrastructure resources, user information, operational data, inter-application data transfers, and proprietary technology information
- Implement infrastructure changes with minimal operational risk through disciplined change management, documentation, testing, and approval processes
- Adapt to evolving business needs by taking on additional duties as assigned
Education & Experience
- Associate degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Network Administration, Cybersecurity, or related field preferred
- Equivalent applied infrastructure, systems, network, or technology experience may be considered
- Five (5) or more years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, network
- administration, IT support, or related technology work preferred
- Previous leadership, supervisory, team lead, project coordination, or infrastructure management experience
- Experience implementing FinOps methodologies, Azure cost governance, cloud monitoring, budgeting, and spend optimization preferred
- Experience designing highly available cloud infrastructure supporting modern application development and DevOps practices preferred
- Experience supporting desktop systems, mobile devices, phone systems, video conferencing, network services, servers, and infrastructure performance preferred
- Strong organizational, documentation, analytical, customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills required
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, support team execution, make sound decisions, and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment required
