Job Description
Overview of the Role: The “Director – Strategy and Governance” supports the Head of Commercial Strategy, in leading the formulation, integration, and implementation guidance and tracking of Globe’s commercial strategy. The role helps ensure alignment of strategic direction across the Commercial Group and drives business planning, performance governance, and decision support for the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and business unit heads. The Director will primarily oversee business planning, performance management, and governance processes that enable the Commercial Group to deliver sustainable growth, operational excellence, and shareholder value.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Strategy and Advisory Support - Support the ICS Head in:
Leading the development and continuous refresh of Globe’s commercial strategy and long-term plans, integrating inputs from B2C, B2B, Broadband, and Corporate Enabling groups.
Drive Strategy-to-Execution Mapping: Lead the translation of macro-level corporate strategies into actionable commercial plans, ensuring all initiatives strictly align with Globe’s long-term 80-50-30 ambition (80 Relationship NPS, 50% Internet Market Share, and P30B Core NIAT) and the OGSM imperatives.
Overseeing market and competitive intelligence, trend analysis, and scenario planning to inform strategic choices and growth opportunities.
Macro-Economic & Market Basket Alignment: Continuously map existing strategic initiatives against real-time macroeconomic indicators and market basket analysis insights to ensure commercial resilience against external threats like inflation.
Partnering with senior leadership to define and prioritize strategic initiatives and new business opportunities.
Lead executive strategic narratives and decision materials, synthesizing complex business performance, market dynamics, and strategic priorities into compelling recommendations and executive-ready presentations for the CCO, GSLT, ExCom, Board, and other leadership forums.
2. Business Planning and Governance
Orchestrate the annual Commercial Business Planning process, ensuring strategic coherence across all CFUs and enabling alignment with the Corporate/Commercial OGSM and budget cycles.
Oversee the orchestration of the Commercial Leadership Cadence (CAM): Manage and optimize the highest-level commercial executive cadence, ensuring agenda items are pre-classified and CAM sessions are strictly reserved for cross-functional decision-making, high-impact strategic pivots, and critical roadblocks.
Manage commercial KPIs and performance scorecards (BSC), providing insights and recommendations for business recalibration and target setting.
Drive periodic business performance reviews, including President’s Reports, ExCom/Board updates, and BROSC submissions.
3. Performance Management and Execution Monitoring
Lead performance governance for CCO-level and group KPIs, ensuring delivery of strategic priorities and operational efficiency.
Govern the Commercial "Big Plays" Portfolio: Oversee the rigorous monthly monitoring, portfolio reporting, and risk management of the 40+ overarching operational "Big Plays" across the enterprise via the Canvas framework.
Monitor commercial performance, initiative implementation, and financial outcomes, providing data-driven insights and early warning signals.
Oversee management reporting and analytics to enable agile, informed leadership decisions.
4. Strategic Projects and Stakeholder Engagement
Represent ICS in cross-functional initiatives, leading special projects assigned by the CCO and Head of Commercial Strategy.
Lead Internal Business Synchronization: Formally bridge the gap between technical delivery and commercial requirements by orchestrating weekly alignment meetings to resolve dependencies and execution friction across IT, Network, and Commercial teams.
Drive Ecosystem Strategies: Act as the strategic integration lead for massive, multi-workstream initiatives (e.g. B2B2C/Education, Ecosystem Strategy, etc.)
Facilitate strategy workshops, stepbacks, and roadshows, ensuring alignment of strategic priorities across business units.
Manage relationships with external consultants, research partners, and key stakeholders (eg Globe subsidiaries) to support strategic engagements and benchmarking.
5. Team Leadership and Capability Building
Supervise strategy managers and analysts within the ICS team; provide guidance, mentorship, and quality assurance on all outputs.
Promote a high-performance, collaborative culture that drives strategic thinking, analytical excellence, and governance discipline.
REQUIREMENTS:
Degree in business or related field, MBA preferred.
More than 8 years of experience in business administration, management consulting or strategic planning.
Excellent understanding of business operations and procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Outstanding research and analytical abilities.
Solid understanding of and fluency in data analytics.
