Senior Software EngineerSoftware Engineer – Dev Cloud, Platform & Container EnablementAbout the Role
Software Engineers in this role focus on enabling developer productivity and platform reliability through strong cloud, container, and internal developer platform (IDP) capabilities. You will design, build, and support Dev Cloud solutions that power secure, scalable, and developer-friendly experiences across the organization. This role blends software engineering, platform engineering, and operational excellence, with a strong emphasis on Docker Desktop support, Backstage, AWS, and cloud-native tooling.

Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and operate Dev Cloud capabilities that enable engineers to develop, test, and deploy software efficiently and securely.
Own and support Docker Desktop and container-based development workflows, including troubleshooting developer issues and improving local-to-cloud parity.
Build and extend Backstage as an internal developer platform, including software templates, plugins, golden paths, and service catalogs.
Develop and maintain cloud-native services and automation on AWS, leveraging managed services and infrastructure-as-code practices.
Partner with application teams to onboard services to Dev Cloud and Backstage, improving consistency, discoverability, and operational readiness.
Automate and simplify developer workflows across build, test, deploy, and runtime operations.
Introduce new tools, patterns, and architectures aligned with enterprise engineering standards.
Drive reliability, observability, and security best practices across platform services.
Collaborate cross-functionally with security, infrastructure, and application teams to resolve complex, multi-service issues.
Mentor engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and platform excellence.

Dev Cloud & Platform Engineering: Internal platforms, self-service capabilities, golden paths, and developer experience optimization.
Containers & Local Development: Docker Desktop, container orchestration concepts, and developer tooling support.
Backstage: Software catalogs, templates, plugins, integrations, and adoption strategies.
Cloud (AWS): Core AWS services, IAM, networking, compute, storage, monitoring, and cost-aware design.
Automation & IaC: CI/CD, scripting, and infrastructure-as-code to enable repeatable, secure environments.
Observability & Operations: Logging, metrics, tracing, and operational readiness in cloud-native environments.
