Project Info
HumeLink East involves expanding the existing Bannaby 500 kV substation and designing and constructing 230 km of new 500 kV double circuit transmission line. This line will connect the Bannaby substation at the Wondalga interface point with HumeLink West, strengthening Australia's energy network and supporting the transition to renewable energy.
About the Opportunity
We're looking for an Environmental Coordinator to join the HumeLink East team and drive strong environmental outcomes across construction. You'll work closely with site teams, government agencies, community groups and contractors to embed sound environmental practice on the ground. This role offers exposure to a critical renewable energy enabling project and a genuine platform to build your career with a Tier 1 contractor.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop and implement environmental management plans
- Monitor and report on environmental performance
- Ensure adherence to permits, licences and approvals
- Identify and mitigate environmental risks from construction
- Liaise with government agencies, community groups and contractors
- Support environmental inductions, training and toolbox talks
- Investigate and report on environmental incidents
Required Skills and Competencies
- Degree in Environmental Science, Management or related field
- Experience in environmental roles on infrastructure projects
- Sound knowledge of environmental legislation and approvals
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
