The Role
Your role
As an Enterprise Architecture professional at Kyndryl, you will provide architecture leadership across embedded systems, cloud-edge platforms, product engineering, DevOps, testing, customer support, and certification-aligned engineering workstreams for a Kyndryl client. This role ensures that architecture decisions support software quality, lifecycle manageability, platform scalability, security, supportability, compliance awareness, and customer-driven integration objectives.
What you will do
Provide architectural guidance across embedded platforms, Linux systems, real-time systems, cloud-edge environments, DevOps toolchains, testing, and technical support workstreams.
Align architecture with customer-defined platform governance, product lifecycle practices, compliance frameworks, certification requirements, and engineering workflows.
Support cross-functional design decisions involving software engineering, platform engineering, cloud implementation, DevOps, testing, technical support, and delivery leadership.
Provide architecture input during complex technical escalations, integration decisions, platform modernization, and engineering delivery planning.
Ensure architectural recommendations respect customer ownership of product direction, certifications, compliance determinations, security assertions, and platform governance.
Who You Are
Required skills and experience
10+ years of experience.
Deep experience in software architecture, enterprise architecture, embedded systems, Linux, cloud-native platforms, DevOps, distributed systems, or platform engineering.
Ability to align engineering design with lifecycle support, operational readiness, testing, integration, security, and compliance-aware delivery needs.
Strong stakeholder communication skills across engineering, delivery, support, product, and customer-facing teams.
Understanding of mission-critical software environments where reliability, safety, security, and long lifecycle support are important.
Preferred skills and experience
Experience with real-time operating systems, embedded Linux, BSPs, device drivers, virtualization, cloud-edge platforms, containers, Kubernetes, simulation environments, or platform integration.
Exposure to DO-178C, V&V, software quality assurance, Design Assurance Levels, audit readiness, or regulated engineering environments.
Experience in automotive, aerospace, defense, telecom, industrial, medical, or intelligent-edge product environments.
