Director of Construction Operations
Location: Remote within the Northeast territory, from West Virginia to Maine
Travel: 25–50% within the region
New Iron is partnering with a building-systems and infrastructure organization to hire a Director of Project Delivery.
Projects include HVAC, electrical, renewable technologies, and water infrastructure for government facilities, correctional facilities, and K–12 schools.
What you’ll do

Lead and develop operations managers and project delivery teams.

Oversee project execution, safety, schedules, risk, and customer satisfaction.

Drive revenue and profitability across the regional portfolio.

Set priorities, delegate effectively, and resolve delivery challenges.

Partner with sales, engineering, customers, and subcontractors throughout project development and execution.
What you bring
-
10+ years of experience managing managers in construction operations or project delivery.

A background in field project management with progression into operations leadership.

Experience delivering complex projects involving multiple trades and subcontractors.

Strong financial ownership, including revenue and profitability.

Residence within the territory and willingness to travel 25–50%.
Preferred: Public-sector construction experience and delivery of HVAC, electrical, renewable technology, or water infrastructure projects.
