Responsibilities include preparing and prosecuting patent applications, providing guidance on Wi-Fi and other wireless standards, managing patent portfolios, and creating licensing packages for prospective licensees, as well as participating in licensing negotiations and supporting the execution of license agreements that deliver meaningful business value. Candidates must be licensed to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and hold a law license in at least one U.S. state.

## What you will do

  • Prepare patent applications independently or in collaboration with outside counsel, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Prosecute patent applications to secure patent protections across various jurisdictions.
  • Efficiently manage patent portfolios and prepare claim charts.
  • Support patent assertion, licensing activities, oppositions, and invalidation proceedings.

## The skills you will bring

  • 5+ years of related patent experience.
  • Strong internal communication skills.
  • Expertise in patent applications, patent claims, patent prosecution, and patent infringement matters, with a particular focus on Wi-Fi patents.
  • Solid knowledge of intellectual property laws and IP management principles.
  • Experience managing intellectual property portfolios, including business method and design patents.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled patent and portfolio-management tools. AI is becoming core to how we build and deliver at Ericsson. We're seeking talent who are ready to learn, adapt, and develop the skills needed to thrive in an AI-enabled future.
