Location: Fort Stewart, GA
Type: Non-Exempt
Work Schedule: Full-Time
Compensation: $24.11-$24.11/hr

Tessera is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Warehouse Specialist with a can-do attitude. This position is expected to start up November 01, 2026.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
- Unload and receive incoming freight, containers, and commercial trailers safelyLoading and unloading of packages with the use of a forklift.
- Inspect incoming stock for structural damage, upholstery tears, or missing components; document and report discrepancies immediately
- Put away inventory into designated racking systems or staging lanes using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks
- Conduct routine cycle counts and physical inventory audits to maintain inventory accuracy
- Construct furniture units (e.g., desks, seating, cabinetry, shelving, or upholstered items) from flat-packs or raw sub-assemblies
- Interpret furniture instructions, blueprints, and assembly diagrams
- Assembling furniture units (such as desks, chairs, cabinets, or sofas) from flat-packs raw components, or sub-assemblies.
- Safely operate power and hand tools, including cordless drills, impact drivers, pneumatics, and hardware fasteners.
- Calibrate and align moving parts, such as drawer slides, cabinet hinges, leveling feet, etc.
- Perform quality checks on furniture pieces, addressing all cosmetic flaws, and verify structural stability.
- Pick and organize furniture pieces accurately based on active order manifests.
- Protect finished goods using heavy-duty moving blankets, bubble wrap, corner protectors, and stretch film.
- Load and secure cargo inside transport vehicles utilizing load bars, tie-down straps, and logistical tracks to entirely prevent shifting during transit.
- Maintain accurate driver logs, bills of lading, and delivery paperwork.
- Maintain a warehouse by breaking down cardboard, sweeping sawdust/debris, and properly storing tools.
- Adhere to all OSHA and company safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe lifting techniques.
Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of experience in warehouse operations, light manufacturing/product assembly preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an in-house forklift certification
- Proficiency in using basic hand/power tools and comfort using digital inventory scanners or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, and Microsoft Office (specifically Excel).
Physical Requirements:
Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds independently, and up to 150lbs + with team lifts.
- May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
- Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
- Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.

- A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
