About HOLY

  • HOLY is the soft drink revolution: With our product lines Energy®, Iced Tea®, Hydration®, Milkshake®, and our newest innovation, the HOLY Syrup Bottle® you get amazing taste across 50+ flavors while maintaining a good conscience—for your body & the environment.
  • Over 2M loyal customers: Started in a shared apartment by three best friends, we have scaled to Europe's fastest growing consumer brand—and our cult-like community, the HOLY Squad, loves it: 4.6 stars on reviews.io speak for themselves.
  • From D2C to Global Omnichannel: In less than four years, we've profitably scaled HOLY to more than €180M D2C revenue in DACH, FR, UK and PL. Now scaling our retail business, we're on an exciting transition to becoming a true omnichannel rocketship.
  • We are still just getting started: Backed by the world's best consumer investors, we aim to revolutionize the soft drink industry and build a generational love brand: tastier, healthier & more sustainable. Our team of 200+ people aims high (Coca-Cola, we're coming for you!).

About the Position

Build the best shop in the world.

The large majority of HOLY's revenue runs through our own shop, across DACH, France, the UK and Poland. It is where most people meet the brand for the first time, and where they decide whether to come back.

As Head of E-Commerce, you own it end to end: the commercial agenda, conversion, the customer experience, and the team that builds it. You report to our Director, Shop, CRM & Data/AI and lead a team of four, with room to grow it as the impact justifies it.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Commercial Ownership & Merchandising
    • Own how the range sells on-site: which products get pushed, how they are bundled, what a bundle costs.
    • Decide which upsell or cross-sell appears for which basket at which point in the journey.
    • Shape the offer side of campaigns with Brand and Marketing, and own the commercial plan that runs year-round.
  • Experience & Conversion
    • Decide what the shop experience should be, then test your way into it.
    • Brief and challenge design work, own the journey from discovery to post-purchase, and roll the HOLY design system out across the highest-traffic pages.
    • Run the pipeline that proves what works: 10+ tests a quarter, honest readouts, scale what wins and stop what doesn't.
  • Delivery Quality, Campaigns & Platform
    • Ship campaigns, features and content on time and error-free across DACH, FR, UK and PL.
    • Hold the QA and go-live line, and take the call when quality or timing is at risk.
    • Own the shop roadmap together with our Tech PM, plus agencies and external partners.
  • Shop Analytics & Tracking
    • Own shop-side measurement: GA4 and GTM setup, consent handling, event QA.
    • Build the monthly shop view and the funnel deep dives yourself.
    • Catch a broken signal before it reaches a decision.
  • Customer Journey & Cross-Functional Alignment
    • Know what was promised upstream and make the shop deliver on it: what the ad said, what the email offered, what the creator showed.
    • Align with Marketing on the top of the funnel and with Ops and CS on everything after checkout, from delivery promise to returns to loyalty surfaces.
    • Keep the experience consistent end to end, not only on the pages you own.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead, coach and grow a team of four.
    • Set the priorization logic and feedback standards that make good work repeatable.
    • Raise the team's skills in merchandising, CRO, UX and analytics, and make the case for specialists as the impact justifies it.
  • AI & Automation
    • Build the automation that takes work off the team: translation, QA, content operations, reporting.
    • Get the team running it, not only yourself.
What Success Looks Like:
  • Bigger baskets: AOV, RPU, items per order and cross-sell attach rate moving in the right direction.
  • A real testing engine: 10+ tests per quarter, decisions documented, winners shipped.
  • An experience people notice: Shop NPS 50+, better bounce rate and time on page, design system live on the pages covering 80% of traffic.
  • Boring, reliable delivery: critical production incidents down from roughly 15 a month to 5 or fewer, go-lives on time and without errors.
  • One journey, not five handovers: what the ad promises is what the landing page delivers, and post-purchase friction gets fixed with Ops rather than passed along.
  • Numbers nobody has to double-check: tracking that holds up, monthly shop reporting owned end to end.
  • A shop that runs on its own judgment, not on escalations.

About You

  • Thinking like a merchant. Looking at a range, you see what to push, what to bundle, and what is sitting there doing nothing.
  • You get to the answer yourself. GA4, Clarity, Shopify data, your own reporting—these are how you form an opinion, without waiting for someone else's dashboard.
  • Rigorous about tests. Knowing what a valid test proves, you keep a program running at pace without kidding yourself about the results.
  • You have taste. Setting visual and interaction direction comes naturally to you, as does telling the difference between good work and work that only looks finished.
  • Leading people properly. Your track record includes making a team better, giving hard feedback, and developing people whose growth you can point to.
  • You ship. Impact guides your priorities, and you know when an MVP beats the complete fix.
  • Based in Berlin, or excited to move. The shop team sits together and the good stuff happens in the room.
What You Bring:
  • 7+ years in e-commerce, including time owning a D2C shop end-to-end.
  • Leadership experience (must-have): you have led a small team, hired, coached, and developed people.
  • Analytical self-sufficiency: you build your own reporting and run your own analysis.
  • A track record of running an experimentation program at meaningful traffic.
  • Shopify Plus depth is a strong plus: theme architecture, checkout constraints, multi-store setups across markets.
  • Experience running a shop across several markets is a plus.
  • Experience owning marketplace channels (e.g., Amazon) is a real plus, as marketplaces are expected to move into this role mid-term.
  • Fluent English; German is a plus.
